President Trump has requested several modifications to the US-Iran agreement, focusing on Iran's nuclear program and related terms.

Negotiations between the United States and Iran have progressed from exchanging proposals to implementing new amendments requested by US President Donald Trump to the American draft agreement.
According to a senior US administration official, Trump has demanded multiple changes to the deal that his envoys reached with Iranian counterparts during a significant meeting held at the White House on Friday.
Officials indicated that Trump is keen to strengthen several key aspects concerning Iran's nuclear program, referencing his statement that he "will only sign an agreement that serves America's interests, meets his red lines, and ensures Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons."
American sources disclosed to Axios that Trump instructed his team to revise the draft memorandum of understanding, specifically regarding clauses related to Iran's nuclear program.
The ongoing discussions focus on a "memorandum of understanding" currently being negotiated between both sides, which includes Iran's commitment not to pursue nuclear weapons without other specific concessions.
The memorandum grants Iran a 60-day period to negotiate its nuclear commitments and the easing of US sanctions, with the initial topics including how to dispose of Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium and limits on future enrichment. Trump aims to alter this section.
A US official explained, "It concerns more detailed aspects of how Washington will obtain Iran's enriched uranium and the timing involved."
Another official revealed that Trump also wants to amend certain language concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The US official mentioned that Trump was informed Iran's response would take about three days, adding, "They are literally in caves and do not use email."
One official stated, "We will see when the agreement is reached. We are prepared to wait until the president gets what he demands. It could take a week, less, or more. We hope to finalize something by the end of the week."
Iranian state media reported that the agreement is imminent but not yet finalized, claiming Iran will receive billions of dollars in frozen funds. The White House denies this claim.
