US Resumes Dollar Shipments to Iraq After Several Months' Suspension
The United States has restarted some dollar shipments by air to Iraq following a months-long halt intended to pressure the Iraqi government regarding its stance on Iran.

The New York Times reported today, citing two aides to the Iraqi prime minister, that the United States has resumed certain air shipments of US dollars to Iraq after suspending them for several months as part of efforts to pressure the Iraqi government to distance itself from Iran.
The newspaper quoted the two Iraqi prime minister's aides stating that the resumption of dollar transfers occurred following a pause lasting several months.
Reuters was unable to immediately verify the accuracy of this report.
This development follows a recent extensive anti-corruption campaign in Iraq, which included the arrest of dozens of political figures and officials.
