US Strikes Hit Maritime Control Tower on Iran's Lark Island
The US military targeted and damaged the maritime navigation control tower on Iran's Lark Island, part of a broader campaign against Iranian coastal monitoring sites.

Early Saturday, Iranian sources reported that the maritime navigation control tower on Lark Island was struck and damaged by US military attacks.
The Tasnim news agency stated that a missile from a US assault on Lark Island, located in southern Iran, hit the maritime traffic control tower, without providing further details.
The US military had previously announced the destruction of the control tower at the port of Chabahar - Shahid Kalantari, which is part of a coastal maritime monitoring network along Iran’s shoreline on the Sea of Oman.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the US military asserted that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has used this network for decades to track and target commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
The US military explained that destroying the tower directly weakens the IRGC’s ability to coordinate attacks against innocent civilian crew members.
It also indicated that the strike serves to protect freedom of navigation in territorial waters for all ships, except those attempting to breach the current US naval blockade on Iran.
In related developments, the Tasnim agency quoted the governor of Bushehr province reporting that a location near the city of Chogak was bombed by US forces.
The Hormozgan provincial authorities announced that US strikes on the province resulted in three fatalities and eight injuries.
Local media cited the Hormozgan regional government urging residents to avoid non-essential travel due to the possibility of renewed attacks.
Concurrently, the agency reported hearing an explosion in the city of Omidiyeh in Khuzestan province.
Separately, the Iranian Mehr news agency reported an explosion in the southern suburbs of the city of Lar in southwestern Iran.
The Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences announced that the death toll from US attacks on the Bandar Khamir bridges has risen to seven, with nine others wounded.
The US Central Command confirmed it carried out another round of strikes inside Iran for the seventh consecutive night.
The Central Command stated that the ongoing operations aim to weaken Iran’s military capabilities.
