Friday’s match between Al-Hilal and Al-Khaleej — part of the fourth round of the Roshn Saudi League — saw over 50 cases of fainting among spectators and personnel inside the stadium.

Channel 8 confirmed that the number of fainting incidents exceeded 50, citing harsh climatic conditions as a key factor affecting both fans and event organizers present at the venue.

Heat and humidity as primary causes

Most of the fainting episodes were directly linked to significantly elevated temperature and humidity levels, prompting numerous spectators to leave the stands by halftime.

The incidents were not limited to attendees: several on-site workers and match organizers also experienced fainting during the game.
