Arne Slot Turns Down Fulham Offer to Manage Premier League Club
Arne Slot has declined Fulham's offer to become their new manager following his recent dismissal by Liverpool.

Arne Slot has refused an approach from Fulham to assume the role of their first-team manager, shortly after being dismissed by Liverpool. The Dutch coach, who parted ways with the Reds last week, was quickly identified as a leading candidate by the Craven Cottage leadership but opted against an immediate return to Premier League management.
Reports from talkSPORT indicate that Slot rejected Fulham's offer to take charge of the west London club. Fulham is currently searching for a replacement for Silva, who is leaving to join Benfica in Portugal.
Slot became available after his Liverpool exit, which came just a year after guiding the club to the Premier League title. Andoni Iraola was promptly appointed as his successor at Anfield.
Despite his recent dismissal following a season without trophies, Slot reportedly holds no ill feelings about his sudden departure from Liverpool. Dutch football journalist Marcel van der Kraan told talkSPORT that if Ronald Koeman steps down after the World Cup, the Dutch national team position would open, and Slot is considered a prime candidate. Van der Kraan noted, "He can play his Dutch style of football – the passing, attacking style, whatever you call it. I think the Dutch would be happy to have him."
Slot’s tenure at Liverpool ended after a mixed period in charge, during which he won 66 out of 113 matches. His second season was particularly disappointing; despite Liverpool investing nearly £450 million in the summer transfer window, the club finished fifth in the Premier League and did not win any trophies. While a move to AC Milan remains a possibility, Slot appears to prefer an international coaching role.
With Slot no longer an option, Fulham is turning to other candidates to lead their pre-season preparations. Ipswich Town’s manager, Kieran McKenna, is reportedly interested, though his £8 million release clause presents a challenge. Meanwhile, Thomas Frank has removed himself from consideration, increasing pressure on Fulham to appoint a new manager before the summer transfer window intensifies.
