Arne Slott, the Dutch coach, delivered a heartfelt farewell message to Liverpool supporters following the official announcement of his departure as the club’s manager. He emphasized that winning the English Premier League title remains one of the most significant milestones in his coaching career.

In an open letter published on Liverpool’s official website, Slott recounted key moments from his time at Anfield, expressing gratitude towards the fans, players, and club staff.

He stated, "Walking under the famous banner in the Anfield tunnel brings a mix of responsibility, expectations, determination to compete, and the desire to win. To have those feelings culminate in winning the Premier League after just 12 months was extraordinary."

Slott added, "The title was not merely a trophy; it was a reward for the hard work, sacrifices, and commitment from everyone at the club. It held even greater value because the fans experienced those moments alongside us."

The Dutch coach also reflected on the historic celebrations following last season’s league triumph, praising the extensive support from the supporters. He recalled with sadness the difficult period after the passing of Portuguese player Diogo Jota.

"There are no words to describe the loss of Diogo. I want to remember a teammate, a friend, and a wonderful person who touched the lives of thousands of Liverpool fans. The way the fans honored his memory will stay with me forever," Slott said.

He made sure to thank the players, club staff, and management, affirming that Liverpool’s twentieth league title is an achievement shared by all.

Slott explained, "This club always measures itself by its greatest titles, but I leave knowing Liverpool is in the place it deserves among Europe’s elite clubs."

Liverpool announced Slott’s immediate departure on Saturday after just two seasons with the team.

The club is expected to enter a new phase under different leadership, with reports indicating that Spanish coach Andoni Iraola, currently managing Bournemouth, is the leading candidate to succeed Slott as Liverpool’s manager.
