Enrique Confirms Hakimi Will Miss Next Morocco Match

Luis Enrique, head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, has confirmed that Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi will not participate in Morocco’s next international match during the upcoming international break.

Speaking at his post-match press conference following Paris Saint-Germain’s 2–1 victory over Marseille on Sunday evening in Ligue 1, Enrique stated: “I have full confidence in Hakimi, but he cannot play in the next international match.”

Enrique emphasized that Paris Saint-Germain maintains ongoing communication with Morocco’s national team technical staff to monitor Hakimi’s physical condition, acknowledging the importance of the player representing his country.

“We are in contact with the Moroccan national team regarding his health status, and we understand how important it is for him to play for his national team,” Enrique added.

The Spanish coach stressed that the club will take no action that could jeopardize Hakimi’s well-being, underscoring that the priority remains the player’s full physical recovery.

Concluding his remarks, Enrique said: “I am happy that he will be able to join the national team, and we will not take any risks — our first concern is that the player is in optimal health. There will be communication, as there is with everyone.”
