Napoli Considers Allegri and Italiano to Replace Conte as Coach
Napoli officials are evaluating Massimiliano Allegri and Vincenzo Italiano as potential successors to Antonio Conte after his departure.

Napoli's management has initiated the search for a new head coach to succeed Antonio Conte, who left the club following the conclusion of the recent season.
According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli's board is weighing options between Massimiliano Allegri, the former Milan coach who was recently dismissed, and Vincenzo Italiano, the current head coach of Bologna, to take over the reins at the southern club.
The report further states that Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli's president, favors Vincenzo Italiano for the position due to his coaching abilities and achievements with Bologna. Discussions between the club and Italiano have already taken place.
Meanwhile, Italiano is scheduled to meet with Bologna's management today to discuss his future. He has expressed enthusiasm for a new challenge, which increases the likelihood of him accepting the Napoli role.
On the other hand, Allegri, who was recently relieved of his duties at Milan, remains the second choice for De Laurentiis.
It is noteworthy that Napoli finished second in the Italian league last season and will participate in the UEFA Champions League for the 2026/27 campaign.
