PSG Targets Leipzig's Jan Diomande as Liverpool's Salah Successor
Paris Saint-Germain moves quickly to sign Leipzig winger Jan Diomande, seen as Mohamed Salah's potential replacement amid Liverpool's interest.

Paris Saint-Germain has initiated swift action on its transfer dealings following its consecutive Champions League title win.
PSG secured the Champions League trophy for the second time in its history after defeating Arsenal in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
Former PSG sporting director Luis Campos stated, "After the celebration, it is time to work," acknowledging the significant pressure on the club this summer to rebuild a squad that has already achieved all major honors despite a long and exhausting season.
One of the key positions PSG aims to strengthen is the right wing, currently occupied only by starter Désiré Doué, according to the French site Foot Mercato.
Paris Saint-Germain has identified Ivorian winger Jan Diomande of Leipzig as the prime candidate for this role, despite strong interest from Liverpool, who view him as the leading option to succeed Mohamed Salah.
Progress appears positive for the Parisian club, having held several meetings with German club Leipzig, where Diomande is under contract until 2030.
Since joining Leipzig last summer from Leganés, the 19-year-old has exceeded expectations, earning the Bundesliga's Best Young Player award after scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists in 36 matches.
According to sources from the French website, Jan Diomande has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain, marking a crucial step in the transfer process, with the club awaiting mutual interest before proceeding further.
Meanwhile, Diomande is reportedly less enthusiastic about a move to Bayern Munich, another interested party, but has not closed the door on Liverpool.
It remains to be seen whether Paris Saint-Germain can reach an agreement with Leipzig, which holds a strong negotiating position due to the length of Diomande's contract.
The Parisian club does not intend to spend exorbitant sums on any player, believing its current squad already possesses sufficient talent.
