After Poisoning Cases, Beirut Governor Issues Order to Close Restaurant
Beirut Governor Marwan Abboud ordered the closure of Nadini restaurant and sealed a meat distribution warehouse following suspected food poisoning cases reported by the Ministry of Public Health.

The Public Relations Department of the Beirut Municipality stated in an explanatory press release that Beirut Governor Judge Marwan Abboud issued a decision to close the "Nadini" restaurant, based on a report received from the Ministry of Public Health, following the registration of poisoning cases suspected to be linked to food consumption.
Governor Abboud also issued a decision to close and seal with red wax the "Rahamco" warehouse located in the Raouche area on Australia Street, which was responsible for distributing meat to several restaurants. This measure is part of the procedures taken to follow up on the case and verify the safety of circulating food materials.
In parallel, Governor Abboud issued a decision to remove the seals placed on the main gate of the restaurant. The decision to lift the seals from the main entrance and the hall, while keeping the kitchen closed, comes within the framework of observing the principle of proportionality in taking precautionary measures, ensuring that imposed restrictions are limited to what is necessary to protect public health.
Governor Abboud emphasizes that this measure does not constitute permission to reopen the restaurant, but rather aims to allow access to the section not designated for food preparation, under the conditions and supervision specified in the decision, while operation remains prohibited until laboratory test results are issued.
