Army announces raid on drug manufacturing facility
The Lebanese Army conducted raids in Bint Jbeil and Kfar Kila, arresting two suspects linked to an armed gang involved in armed robbery and illegal possession of weapons, while also seizing drugs manufacturing equipment.
Issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Information:
"A unit of the army apprehended, following a security surveillance and tracking operation, the two individuals (a.m.) and (b.a.) from the town of Al-Jamaliyah - Baalbek, who were wanted on multiple arrest warrants for forming an armed gang involved in armed robbery and theft, and for impersonating security personnel, and seized a military firearm from their possession.
Additionally, another army unit raided a drug manufacturing laboratory in the town of Al-Kanisa - Baalbek, and confiscated quantities of raw materials and equipment used in drug production.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations into the detained individuals have commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
