Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment Begins Collecting 2026 Issuances and Announces Exemptions and Installments

The "Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment" mentioned in a statement to its subscribers that it "has placed the 2026 issuance tables under collection, as of the date 7/1/2026," and called on all subscribers to "pay the water fees owed by them, for the year 2026 and before, via: the specialized collectors, distribution department boxes, POS MACHINE electronic payment machines available at distribution departments and OMT company centers."

It pointed out that "due to the current economic circumstances, it proceeded to issue the following decisions:

1- Exemption from late penalties on subscription fees for the year 2025 and before by (85%).

2 - Installment of overdue fees for previous years up to the year 2026 for a maximum period until December 2028.

3 - Facilitating the process of obtaining new subscriptions for former subscribers who still have outstanding debts, where they can be paid in installments for a maximum period until December 2028.

4 - Reduction of the establishment fee for new subscriptions for buildings connected to water networks by the following percentages:

-(28%) for metered water subscriptions.

-(15%) for water subscriptions with a meter.

5 - Reduction of the fee for changing subscriber names by (90%).

6 - Reduction of the fee for renewing a temporary subscription by (90%).

7 - Installment of the fees for the year 2026 for subscribers who wish, up to seven installments detailed as follows:

- The first installment is due before the end of June of the year 2026

- The second is due before the end of July of the year 2026

- The third is due before the end of August of the year 2026

- The fourth is due before the end of September of the year 2026

- The fifth is due before the end of October of the year 2026

- The sixth is due before the end of November of the year 2026

- The seventh is due before the end of December of the year 2026

It hoped that "subscribers would respond to this announcement and pay the amounts due from them without any delay, especially the arrears, in accordance with Article (24) of the investment system in effect at the establishment and issued by Decree 14597 dated 14/6/2005."

It considered that "this announcement serves as a personal notification to each subscriber and cuts off the statute of limitations."
