Bruno Pereira da Silva, France’s chargé d’affaires ad interim to Beirut, visited the southern Lebanese towns of Rmeish and Ayn Ebel to reaffirm Paris’s support for local elected officials and residents amid ongoing hardship from the war.

Bruno Pereira da Silva, France’s chargé d’affaires ad interim to Beirut, travelled to the southern Lebanese towns of Rmeish and Ayn Ebel.
The French embassy in Beirut stated in a press release that the visit took place against the backdrop of continued severe suffering in southern Lebanon due to the war. Its central objectives were to reinforce support for locally elected officials and residents in both municipalities and to highlight France’s ongoing efforts in education and nutrition across Lebanon.
Meetings were held with the municipal councils of Rmeish and Ayn Ebel to demonstrate France’s commitment to serving communities in southern Lebanon. During these discussions, delegates addressed the specific challenges confronting both towns, as well as their priorities and the needs of their populations.
