Higher Judicial Council: List of Candidates Accepted for the Examination on Our Website

The Higher Judicial Council announced in a statement, "the publication of the list of accepted candidates for the examination to be held at the Lebanese University – Hadath building at 8:00 AM, on the Council's official website www.csm.gov.lb, and on the Council's bulletin board, in accordance with the decision issued by the Higher Judicial Council during its session held on 22/6/2026, appointing Saturday, September 5, 2026, as the date for commencing the examination for the appointment of trainee judges at the Judicial Studies Institute, and in line with the announcement issued on 13/8/2026 regarding the details of the examination."

It addressed the accepted candidates with "three key messages:

First: This examination is a selection process for those who will assume responsibility for the judiciary of tomorrow. The judiciary is a responsibility that demands knowledge, integrity, independence, and strong character, above all balance, humility, sound thinking, and the ability to make fair decisions.

Second: Despite all the difficult and exceptional circumstances we are going through, the examination will begin, in its first phase, with written tests in Arabic, and in either French or English, depending on the details outlined in the examination announcement. These tests will be conducted in a single four-hour session. Those who pass this stage will proceed to the oral interview, followed by subsequent stages dedicated to assessing legal and general culture, where the candidate's academic and intellectual competence will be fully evaluated.

Third: This examination will be conducted exclusively on the basis of equal opportunity, merit, and fairness among all candidates. No mediation or interference will be accepted, nor will any candidate receive preference due to their affiliation, connections, or status. No religious, political, or personal consideration will have any influence."
