Interior Minister Affirms Support for Municipalities Amid Local Challenges
Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar met with Sidon-Zahrani municipalities union to discuss waste management and local funding issues.

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar received a delegation from the Sidon-Zahrani Municipalities Union, accompanied by the Governor of Southern Lebanon and the acting Governor of Nabatieh, Mansour Dou.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the conditions of the municipalities in the region and the challenges they face regarding waste collection and treatment, particularly the operation of the waste treatment plant. They also discussed the current situation of displacement and the urgent need to secure necessary funds for the municipalities, among other issues.
Minister Al-Hajjar affirmed that the ministry stands alongside the municipalities, emphasizing its central role in managing local affairs and providing services to citizens. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen the municipalities' capacities and supply them with the required support to enable them to fulfill their duties and support their residents.
In addition, Minister Al-Hajjar met with former MP Samir Al-Jisr, during which they discussed the general situation.
The minister also received Dr. Charles Marcus, the head of the Physical Therapists Syndicate.
