Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar received a delegation of Beirut deputies in his office at the ministry. The delegation included Fouad Makhzoumi, Ghassan Hasbani, Paula Yacoubian, Nadim Gemayel, Faisal Al-Sayegh, Hakob Terzian, Amin Sherri, Adnan Traboulsi, Edgar Traboulsi, Nicolas Sahnaoui, and Mohammad Khawaja. The meeting was also attended by Beirut Governor Judge Marwan Abboud and Municipal Council President Ibrahim Zaidan.

The discussions focused on the administrative and financial affairs of the capital, exploring ways to enhance the support provided by the ministry to the governor and the municipal council to ensure the proper functioning of public services and improve service conditions in Beirut.

The participants also addressed the security situation in the capital, reviewing measures and procedures implemented to regulate traffic, reduce congestion, suppress violations, and strengthen coordination between the Internal Security Forces and the Beirut City Guard Regiment to maintain security in the city.

Al-Hajjar emphasized that "Beirut, given its national symbolism and its unifying role for all Lebanese, receives special attention from the ministry." He affirmed the commitment to upholding principles of transparency, accountability, and combating corruption across various administrations and institutions to reinforce citizens' trust in the state.
