Israeli Army Rules Out Second Attacker Crossing From Lebanon
The Israeli army has dismissed the possibility of a second assailant crossing from Lebanon after neutralizing a militant near the northern border.

The Israeli military has ruled out the presence of a second attacker involved in the incident on the border with Lebanon, following the killing of an armed assailant by Israeli forces earlier on Tuesday.
Authorities had instructed residents of the border towns Misgav Am, Margaliot, and Manara to remain indoors after the incident, while Israeli troops conducted search operations around the area.
Later, local officials informed the population that the army had completed its field sweeps and inspections without discovering any additional suspects or evidence.
A statement from the Upper Galilee Regional Council indicated that "based on the results of the search operations, public instructions were lifted and road closures in the area were removed."
On Tuesday, the Israeli army reported that a militant was killed after infiltrating into Israeli territory from the northern border and opening fire on its forces near Ras Rumman.
According to the army’s statement and its radio broadcast, the attacker successfully crossed the border before firing at an Israeli military unit engaged in field duties.
Israeli forces immediately returned fire and neutralized the attacker at the scene, with no soldiers wounded.
The statement confirmed that the incident remains under investigation, noting that the infiltrator was armed with a rifle and a knife and was killed following a direct confrontation near the border fence.
The army added that additional troops are currently carrying out extensive search and inspection operations in the area, supported by Israeli Air Force flights, while coordination with local authorities along the northern border continues.
