Ministers of Interior and Municipalities Ahmed Al-Hajjar and Economy and Trade Amer Al-Bassat convened a coordination meeting at the Ministry of Interior. The meeting included the presence of Dr. Mohammad Abu Haidar, Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Colonel Ayman Mashmoushi, Head of the Central Narcotics Control Office in the Judicial Police Unit of the Internal Security Forces, and several officials from both ministries.

The session focused on reviewing the established procedures for regulating Lebanese exports, particularly those destined for Gulf countries, with special attention to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The discussion emphasized the need to strengthen mechanisms for auditing, monitoring, and inspection to ensure effective control, prevent smuggling attempts, safeguard the integrity of Lebanese exports, and reinforce confidence in Lebanese products in foreign markets.

Attendees underscored the importance of maintaining coordination and cooperation between the two ministries, as well as all relevant security and regulatory bodies. This collaboration aims to tighten oversight of export operations and enforce necessary procedures in accordance with the highest standards.
