Ahmed Al-Hajjar, Lebanon's Minister of Interior and Municipalities, affirmed that the government has taken the necessary measures to enhance deployment and extend the state's authority solely through its own forces across the entire Lebanese territory.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Hurra TV, Al-Hajjar expressed hope for a complete Israeli withdrawal at the earliest opportunity, enabling the Lebanese state to regain control over all its land.

He stressed that the current government and the presidency under the esteemed head of state have demonstrated clear sovereignty and are solely committed to bringing stability and security to Lebanon. He emphasized that the only solution for Lebanon and its people lies in rallying around the state.

Regarding Saudi Arabia's decision to reopen imports from Lebanon, Minister Al-Hajjar described this positive step as reflecting the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to supporting Lebanon and its citizens. He noted that the decision resulted from efforts by Lebanese security agencies, particularly those affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, working in close coordination with Saudi security bodies.

He confirmed that the Lebanese state has achieved tangible progress in combating drug trafficking by dismantling smuggling networks, seizing manufacturing facilities and drug quantities, arresting numerous wanted individuals, and tightening control over crossings and borders.

When asked about the possibility of Syrian military intervention in Lebanon, Al-Hajjar indicated that Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharq has expressed no desire to interfere in Lebanese affairs. He highlighted that Lebanon senses Syria's keenness to establish the best possible relations through ongoing coordination and affirmed that Lebanon is also working to develop these relations.
