Lebanese Technology Minister Highlights 22 Firms Representing Lebanon at VivaTech in France
Lebanese Minister of Technology and AI, Dr. Kamal Shehadeh, met with 22 tech firms ahead of their participation in France's VivaTech exhibition.

Dr. Kamal Shehadeh, Lebanon's Minister of Displaced Persons and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, visited Baabda Palace accompanied by representatives from 22 Lebanese technology companies. They briefed President Michel Aoun on the companies' upcoming participation in the VivaTech exhibition in France next week. This initiative was organized by Smart ESA and the Lebanese-French Chamber of Commerce.
From Baabda, Shehadeh described these companies as exemplifying Lebanon's promising economy. He praised their commitment, creativity, and ability to succeed despite challenges, noting that they have become "ambassadors of Lebanon" worldwide through their work and services.
He also emphasized that the companies’ involvement in the exhibition aims to establish new relationships and partnerships with European and French investors and partners, which would help expand their business activities and global market presence.
Shehadeh highlighted the launch of the "Lebanese Angel Investors Network" about a month ago, stating that it has so far secured investments nearing $9 million to support Lebanese startups.
He concluded by expressing hope that the upcoming meetings and encounters in Paris would provide opportunities to gain new expertise and forge partnerships beneficial to the participating companies and the Lebanese economy overall.
