The Ministry of Energy and Water issued a statement refuting media claims regarding delays in Qatar-Lebanon energy cooperation, confirming that technical meetings are ongoing and no official visit invitation has been extended to the minister.

The Ministry of Energy and Water issued the following statement: "Some media outlets known for their suspicious relations are trying to tarnish the positive trajectory witnessed by the energy sector after the brotherly State of Qatar announced its readiness to invest in diverse and sustainable solutions in the sector. They also falsely claim that an invitation was extended to Minister of Energy and Water Joe Sadi to visit Qatar, which he failed to attend, and that he is delaying signing an agreement with Doha.
To refute these lies, we wish to confirm that no official invitation has been extended to Sadi to visit Qatar so far. Meetings between the Lebanese and Qatari technical teams have been continuing intensively for more than two weeks in Beirut, and next week, meetings between the two teams will resume in Doha. Once a declaration of intent is reached, it will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval.
All media outlets can verify the accuracy of any information before publishing it, but unfortunately, some yellow pens mobilized by parties that plunged Lebanon into darkness are provoked by the fact that Lebanon is being put on the track of electrical recovery after years of failures. May God protect Lebanon from the merchants of words."
