Southern Water: Reduced Supply Due to Public Electricity Line Shutdown

The South Lebanon Water Establishment announced in a statement to "subscribers in all its affiliated departments, a reduction in water supply due to the shutdown of the public electricity service line since yesterday morning until now, which various Lebanese regions are suffering from, and which also affects the establishment's facilities, main production stations, wells, and all distribution stations."

It pointed out that "the establishment has initiated the operation of generators to cover the power outage, but that is not sufficient to provide the adequate amount of water to supply all the cities and towns within the establishment's jurisdiction."

It called on citizens to "ration water usage to the maximum extent due to the reduced duration of water supply, until the electricity production plants return to normal supply."
