The "Contracted Teachers' Movement" confirmed that its coordinator, Hamza Mansour, contacted Dr. Ihab Hamada and Dr. Ashraf Baydoun to seek fair solutions for teachers' legitimate demands, calling for "intervention with the Minister of Education to reconsider her recent decisions, which were a direct cause of the strike declaration."

In a statement, the movement urged the Education Committee to take responsibility and intervene urgently with the Minister to settle this file, placing student interests, teacher rights, and the status of official education as top priorities.

It noted that "more than fifty thousand students in official secondary education have been out of school for six days," amid accumulating learning losses due to strikes, the coronavirus pandemic, and the war, adding six more days of closure today. The Ministry of Education is aware of this loss and has conducted assessment exams to measure it.

The movement highlighted the painful paradox between halted official education and private schools continuing instruction, where private students exercise their natural right to learn while official education students are deprived of the same right.

It concluded by urging the Education Committee to intervene seriously and urgently to find a just solution that honors teachers, ends the crisis, and returns students to classrooms, preserving the status of official education and teacher dignity.
