What did the Ministry of Communications say about illegal communication networks?
The Ministry of Communications responded to media reports about illegal communication networks, stating that the ministry is not an investigative body and that the file is within the jurisdiction of security and judicial authorities.

The following was issued by the Media Office of the Ministry of Communications:
In response to what the media is circulating about illegal communication networks, the ministry's position is clear: the ministry is not an investigative body, and this file is the responsibility of the security and judicial authorities. We have been informed that investigations are ongoing and we await their results. The ministry cooperates with the competent authorities upon request in accordance with applicable procedures and laws.
And our principled position is firm: the telecommunications infrastructure is the property of the Lebanese state alone, and any network outside the legal framework is a violation that is addressed through the appropriate means and channels.
