Bayern Munich confirms Alphonso Davies suffered a muscle injury, sidelining him for several weeks and ending his season.

Alphonso Davies, Bayern Munich’s Canadian left-back, will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a fresh injury during the team’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain. The German club confirmed the news on Friday.
Bayern’s European campaign ended after a 1-1 home draw, following a 5-4 loss in the first leg, sending PSG through to face Arsenal in the final. The injury occurred during that decisive match.
In an official statement, Bayern Munich revealed that Davies has a muscle strain in the back of his left leg. The club did not specify an exact recovery period, only stating he will be out of action for several weeks.
The Canadian international featured in 23 matches this season, scoring once and providing five assists.
Bayern Munich’s next fixture is against Wolfsburg in the 33rd round of the Bundesliga. Despite their European exit, the club secured the German league title this season, their 35th domestic crown.
