Slot rejects Ajax offer and sticks with his position at Liverpool

Dutchman Arne Slot, the head coach of Liverpool, rejected an offer from Dutch club Ajax to lead the team in the new season, despite the possibility of his departure from coaching the "Reds" due to declining results and losing the English Premier League title.

The network "Liverpool Dot Com" reported that Arne Slot intends to continue his coaching career with Liverpool, despite receiving offers to take the position of head coach at Ajax. The report added, quoting Dutch journalist Mike Verweij, that the general manager of Ajax, Jordi Cruyff (son of football legend Johan Cruyff and former Manchester United player), is leading the search for a new head coach to lead the team in the 2026-2027 season.

It is rumored that Cruyff polled Slot's opinions on the possibility of him taking over coaching the team in Amsterdam, but he did not receive any positive response.
