5.6 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Central Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture
A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit Yamanashi Prefecture in central Japan last night, causing minor injuries but no tsunami warning or volcanic activity.

The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that a 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Yamanashi Prefecture in central Japan and nearby areas during the night.
Japanese media indicated that no tsunami warnings were issued following the quake, and there were no signs of volcanic disturbances at Mount Fuji.
On Saturday, Japanese authorities confirmed receiving reports of ten individuals sustaining minor injuries, according to the Japan Today newspaper.
The earthquake occurred at 10:28 p.m. at a depth of approximately 20 kilometers in the town of Fujikawaguchiko within Yamanashi Prefecture.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara stated in a press conference that inspections found no disruptions at nuclear power facilities, including the Hamaoka plant operated by Chubu Electric Power Company.
