Eight Arab states held intensive diplomatic contacts at the foreign minister level on Monday to support the US-Iran negotiations track and joint efforts to establish security and stability in the region, working toward a "consensual settlement" between Washington and Tehran.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held phone calls with his counterparts in Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, Oman's Badr Al Busaidi, and Egypt's Badr Abdelatty, according to a statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
The statement said the calls involved "discussion of regional developments and joint efforts to establish security and support stability in the region."
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry also stated that Minister Badr Abdelatty held "intensive" phone calls on Monday with his counterparts in 6 countries to support efforts to halt regional escalation, including the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain's Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Pakistan's Ishaq Dar, Iran's Abbas Araghchi, and Turkey's Hakan Fidan.
