British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, called on Thursday for the Houthis to lift the siege imposed on access to the city of Taiz, to allow essential supplies and humanitarian aid to reach those in need, and to ensure the safe movement of civilians.
Sharif added via the "X" platform: "A month has passed since the start of the Houthi siege on the city of Taiz, and civilians are still facing a severe shortage of food, water, fuel, and medicine," noting that she spoke today with Taiz Governor, Nabil Al-Shamsan, about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the city.
