A powerful explosion destroyed a home in Arak, Iran, on Monday, with rescue teams searching for possible casualties.

A residential building on Jahanigiri Street in the central Iranian city of Arak was completely destroyed by a powerful explosion on Monday, according to Iranian media reports. Emergency medical teams and civil defense personnel rushed to the scene immediately after the blast, launching rescue and evacuation operations while securing the surrounding area.
Firefighting units are currently working to clear the debris and conduct search operations to ensure no one is trapped beneath the rubble, authorities reported. No official casualty or injury toll has been announced yet.
The nature of the explosion, which shook the Iranian city, remains unclear.
Separately, the fate of a ceasefire between Iran and the United States has become uncertain amid rising prospects of a return to war. US President Donald Trump described the Iranian response to the latest proposal—which he had called "the last chance for diplomacy"—as "completely unacceptable."
