CENTCOM: Our Forces Monitor and Control the Strait of Hormuz with Partners

US Central Command stated in a statement that "our deployed forces in the Middle East are monitoring the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the surrounding waters," adding: "It is US forces and their partners in the region who control the Strait of Hormuz, not Iran."

It noted that "the claims by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps that our forces have left the Strait of Hormuz are incorrect."
