Five Killed in Shooting Near Aden Governor's Residence Including Two Syrian Doctors
At least five people, including two Syrian doctors, were killed in a shooting near the residence of Aden's governor in a violent incident involving his security detail.

At least five individuals lost their lives in a shooting incident near the residence of the State Minister and Governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Shaikh. Among the victims were two Syrian doctors.
Local sources reported that the incident began with a dispute between two members of the governor's security team, which escalated when one assailant killed his colleague.
While fleeing, the assailant opened fire on the two Syrian doctors, a married couple, who happened to be passing through the area known as "Al-Dareen" where the shooting occurred.
The sources added that a witness pursued the shooter intending to apprehend him, but the assailant shot the man multiple times, causing serious injuries. The injured man then sought refuge in a hospital to evade security forces.
Upon the arrival of security personnel, the shooter fired at them, resulting in the death of one officer and injury to another. Authorities later confirmed that the assailant was killed at the scene.
The city of Aden remains tense, with ongoing popular protests accompanied by a widespread security presence.
