Iran Cancels Khamenei Ceremony Scheduled for July 19 Without Explanation
Iranian authorities have jointly announced the cancellation of the planned ceremony for the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on July 19 in Tehran, postponing it indefinitely.

The legislative, judicial, and executive authorities in Iran issued a joint statement announcing the cancellation of the ceremony for the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which was scheduled for Sunday, July 19, at the Khomeini Musalla in Tehran. The event has been postponed to an unspecified later date.
The statement did not provide reasons for the cancellation nor specify when the ceremony would be rescheduled, according to a report by Iran International.
This development occurs amid increasing attacks targeting infrastructure in southern Iran, with Tehran and Washington exchanging accusations over strikes on civilian and vital facilities during the ongoing military escalation.
Khamenei was buried on Friday, July 10, in the city of Mashhad following funeral rites that lasted several days.
