Israel has commenced retaliatory military operations against Iran following Iranian missile attacks on northern Israel.

Israeli media released an image showing the Chief of Staff and senior military commanders directing strikes against Iran from the Israeli Air Force command center, signaling the start of Israel's response to Iranian attacks the previous evening.
The military media confirmed that the Israeli army remains on high alert, prepared for both offensive and defensive actions.
In a statement, the Israeli army said, "Over the past hours, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior military leaders have conducted assessments of the situation and are currently managing Israeli strikes from the Israeli Air Force command center."
The statement added, "The Israeli army continues to maintain a state of maximum readiness and is fully prepared to continue operations across all fronts against anyone threatening the State of Israel."
Iran launched missile attacks on northern Israel on Sunday night, prompting the Israeli military to carry out airstrikes on several Iranian locations in response.
The Israeli army announced, "The air force, under the guidance of military intelligence, recently conducted raids on military targets belonging to the Iranian regime in western and central Iran."
This Israeli declaration contradicted reports that US President Donald Trump had requested Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from attacking Iran and to delay for several days to consider the fate of the anticipated agreement.
Following the recent Iranian strikes on the north, opposition voices intensified pressure on Netanyahu to expedite Israel’s military response without delay. Extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reportedly called for "burning Tehran tonight," as posted on the social media platform X.
