JD Vance: We're Engaging in 'Complex and Difficult' Talks with a Divided Iranian Regime

US Vice President JD Vance said that talks over an agreement with Iran would be "complex and difficult, and will take time," noting that "the Iranians are people who are very hard to deal with," and that "they have a divided system," according to his words.

He added in an interview with Fox News: "Our mission is to manage this situation and achieve the best outcome for the American people, as well as for the President of the United States, and I believe that in the end—despite the process being complex and taking some time—we will reach a result.

US Vice President Vance continued: "As you can see, I believe oil prices were $79 today, they will decline and remain low, Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon, and the United States will be in a stronger position," according to his statement.

He added: "But we are still in the midst of the process, and I think people are trying to anticipate events and prematurely judge how things will unfold."

These remarks come as Iran denies engaging in negotiations with the United States; on Wednesday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi stated that Iran has not yet decided whether it will proceed with implementing the memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
