Russian-Appointed Crimea Governor Reports Three Killed in Ukrainian Strike

Russian-appointed Crimea Governor Sergei Aksyonov announced on Monday that three civilians were killed and two others wounded in what he described as an “enemy attack” carried out overnight against the Moscow-controlled peninsula, Reuters reported.

Previous Attack in Simferopol

In a prior incident, Aksyonov stated that three people were killed and seven others injured in a Ukrainian strike targeting non-residential buildings in Simferopol.

Aksyonov posted the details on his Telegram account: “Preliminary data indicate that three people were killed and seven others injured as a result of an enemy strike on non-residential buildings in Simferopol.” He added that rescue teams were operating at the site of the incident.

He continued: “I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and I wish all the injured a swift recovery.”

Ongoing Ukrainian Drone and Missile Operations

The Russian news agency Sputnik reported that Ukrainian forces are conducting near-daily strikes using drones and missiles against Russian border regions, including the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov oblasts, as well as the Crimean Peninsula.
