US President Donald Trump again attacked Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar, describing Somalia as the worst and dirtiest country in the world.
In new remarks about Democratic House member Ilhan Omar, Trump said: "Get her out of our country, Somalia is a very dirty country, disgusting and dirty, it's a terrible place, they don't have anything good, they say it's the worst country in the world, and she tells us how to run the United States!
They only have crime, poverty, pollution, everything there is bad, nothing is good. Then she says our country is the worst country anywhere in the world."
The conflict between Trump and Omar has been escalating for years, with Trump strongly attacking her for her "extreme" leftist stances, immigration policies, and criticism of Israel, calling her a "disaster."
In February 2026, a public confrontation erupted during the State of the Union address, where Omar shouted at Trump, accusing him of "lying and killing" in response to his accusations that Democrats failed to protect the border, which astonished Congress.
The animosity began in 2019 when Trump called her "the most despicable representative" and demanded her expulsion from Congress, exploiting her Somali background to incite against Muslim immigrants, while Ilhan Omar continues to describe Trump as "racist and fascist," especially in his financial and foreign policies, making her his favorite target in his election campaigns.
