US Military Targets Iranian Military Command Centers and Drone Facilities

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported early Friday that its forces have conducted strikes for the 13th consecutive night against Iranian military targets. These operations aim to diminish what the US describes as threats posed by Iran to commercial navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to a statement on the platform X, the strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities.

CENTCOM added that the purpose of these attacks is to reduce the threat Iran poses to civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The command confirmed that the international waterway remains open for transit despite recent attacks attributed to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. It noted that commercial ships continue to navigate the strait freely with US military support.

The statement also indicated that over 50,000 US military personnel are currently deployed across the Middle East.
