Authorities in Iran's Hormozgan province reported on Saturday that 116 communication towers were disabled following a US strike targeting data and internet transmission lines on Friday. This assault caused disruptions to fixed-line and mobile phone services as well as internet connectivity in areas north of Bandar Abbas and Hajjiabad in the country's southeast.

Omid Gavidel, the General Director of Communications and Information Technology in Hormozgan, stated that the attack on the "Martyr Mirzaei" tunnel severed data traffic and bandwidth transmission lines. This resulted in significant disturbances to the province's telecommunications infrastructure, according to the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA).

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday the execution of a new wave of strikes aimed at "continuing to undermine Iran's military capabilities."

The US military declared that it targeted "surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage facilities, and naval capabilities" within Iran.

Reports have emerged about "urgent evacuation orders" on Iran's Kharg Island, raising questions about the current situation there.

Earlier in the week, US President Donald Trump threatened to strike bridges and power generation stations in Iran if no agreement was reached.
