Mason Greenwood's Potential Transfers: Arsenal and Roma Among Interested Clubs
Mason Greenwood is expected to leave Olympique Marseille this summer, with Arsenal and AS Roma among the clubs reportedly interested in signing him.

Olympique Marseille is preparing to transfer Mason Greenwood this summer, a move that will draw attention from Manchester United due to their financial interest in the player.
In 2024, Manchester United agreed to sell Greenwood to Marseille for £26.6 million, a decision influenced by the controversies surrounding the forward during his time at Old Trafford.
Despite efforts to reintegrate Greenwood into their squad, United ultimately decided to let him go, securing a 40 percent sell-on clause in the deal with the Ligue 1 club.
Now, two years later, Marseille aims to sell Greenwood for €55 million (£48 million), reflecting his strong performance at the club.
Recent reports have linked Greenwood with a move to Italy’s AS Roma, with the Serie A team reportedly having reached personal terms with the player, leaving only the club-to-club agreement pending.
However, L’Equipe introduced a new development by suggesting that Greenwood has multiple suitors, including AS Roma, Arsenal, and Tottenham.
Premier League Clubs Show Interest
The French publication indicated that Greenwood’s potential destinations are not limited to Italy, naming Arsenal and Tottenham as possible contenders.
Yet, Fabrizio Romano promptly dismissed Tottenham’s involvement, stating, “Tottenham are not working on a deal to sign Mason Greenwood despite reports.”
Manchester United Focus on Sale Completion
While a transfer battle between Tottenham and Arsenal seems unlikely, a competition between Arsenal and Roma could still emerge as Arsenal’s interest may influence Roma’s willingness to meet Marseille’s asking price.
Regardless of the destination, the sale will provide INEOS with a substantial financial boost, supporting their ambitious plans for the upcoming summer transfer window.
