A 1-1 draw away to Bayern Munich was enough for Paris Saint-Germain to punch their ticket to the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League final. The result in the second leg of the semi-final sent the French side through on aggregate.

The match exploded into life almost immediately. Ousmane Dembele put PSG ahead in the 3rd minute, finishing a low cross from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with a powerful left-footed strike that beat Manuel Neuer.

The game was marked by several contentious refereeing decisions. Bayern players loudly protested that Nuno Mendes should have received a second yellow card. The PSG defender was booked early for a foul on Mathys Tel, and later handled the ball in midfield, but the referee waved play on, citing a prior foul by a Bayern player.

Another flashpoint came when a Joao Neves handball inside the PSG penalty area went unpunished. The referee ruled that the ball had been deflected by teammate Vitinha before striking Neves' arm.

Bayern pushed for an equalizer before halftime. Jamal Musiala tested PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who made a sharp save to keep his side ahead at the break.

Vincent Kompany's team came out pressing hard in the second half. Luis Diaz and Musiala both threatened the PSG goal, but Safonov stood firm, making a series of crucial stops.

PSG relied on counter-attacks and had chances to seal the tie. Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, and Bradley Barcola all missed opportunities, thwarted by an outstanding performance from Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Harry Kane snatched a late equalizer for Bayern in the dying moments, but it was not enough to overturn the deficit. PSG held on to secure their place in the final.
