IO Interactive confirms March 18, 2027 Switch 2 launch for 007 First Light
IO Interactive announced that 007 First Light will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027, with pre-orders now open and a GoldenEye Suit bonus included.

IO Interactive has set the release date for 007 First Light on the Nintendo Switch 2 to March 18, 2027. Pre-orders are currently available through the Nintendo Store, Amazon, and selected retailers. The studio confirmed this schedule alongside a new trailer presented by IGN.
Pre-order incentives and editions
Customers who reserve the game early receive the GoldenEye Suit, an outfit referencing the 1997 Nintendo 64 exclusive GoldenEye 007. While a physical edition is confirmed, IO Interactive has not yet disclosed specific details regarding its packaging or contents.
Pricing varies by region. The standard edition costs £59.99 in the United Kingdom, according to Nintendo Life, though US pricing remains unconfirmed. In Europe, the Deluxe Edition is listed at €69.99. This tier includes four additional outfits: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator, along with skins for weapons and gadgets.
Previous delays and platform performance
The Switch 2 version experienced two prior delays attributed by IO Interactive to technical issues. The title originally launched in May 2026 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It sold more than 4 million copies across these platforms within approximately three months of release, earning strong reviews.
Adapting a large-scale 3D stealth game to Nintendo’s hybrid console requires significant optimization. Early hands-on builds displayed at Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show reportedly received positive feedback from players. However, final performance metrics remain unverified until the official launch.
