Yamal Promises to Grow Beard if Spain Wins 2026 World Cup
Barcelona and Spain star Lamine Yamal pledges to grow his beard for three weeks if Spain wins the 2026 World Cup, while discussing his hand bandage and underrated players.

Lamine Yamal, the Barcelona player and member of the Spanish national team, made a notable promise regarding the 2026 World Cup. He also spoke about players who do not receive enough recognition and explained why he wears a bandage on his hand.
In a live broadcast on his official YouTube channel, Yamal discussed life, football, and the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada this summer. His mother appeared alongside him during the live session.
Spain's national team, known as La Roja, will compete in a group that includes Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay. Spain is considered one of the leading contenders for the title.
When asked what he would do if Spain wins the prestigious World Cup next month, Yamal stated on his YouTube channel: "I promise that if I win the World Cup, I will grow my beard and mustache for three weeks."
Regarding the bandage on his hand, Yamal explained that he wears it because he injured his fingers while playing PlayStation. He collided with the television and broke his fingers, which swelled significantly.
He added: "Since then, I have been wearing a bandage on my foot, and I felt very comfortable with it, like Karim Benzema. I kept it on, and I think it looks great, so I will keep it."
During the session, Yamal answered several fan questions, revealing that he speaks English fluently and that he plans to remove his dental braces after the World Cup.
When asked about players he believes are underrated globally, Yamal mentioned Gerard Moreno, Fabián Ruiz, and Mikel Merino. His mother also supported this opinion.
