Drone Strikes Hit Iranian Kurdish Opposition Base in Erbil
Two drones struck a base of an Iranian Kurdish opposition group in northern Erbil, Iraq, security sources told Reuters.

Two unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the headquarters of an Iranian Kurdish opposition group north of Erbil, Iraq, according to security sources who spoke to Reuters. No further details on the incident were immediately provided.
Earlier on Wednesday, two aerial raids hit a separate opposition camp in the same area, the same security sources said. The first strike, carried out by a drone, was directed at a weapons and ammunition depot within the camp. No casualties have been reported.
Security sources later confirmed a second drone strike that targeted another Iranian opposition camp north of Erbil.
Recurring Attacks on Opposition Groups
These attacks occur while a ceasefire between Iran and the United States remains in effect, following a roughly 40-day war whose repercussions extended into Iraq and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region.
In recent years, Iran has launched repeated attacks on Iranian Kurdish opposition groups in northern Iraq, accusing them of involvement in attacks inside Iranian territory and of serving the interests of Israel and Western nations hostile to the Islamic Republic.
