Iranian media reported on Monday that an attack struck locations within Tehran, including Ashura University, which is associated with the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Additional information indicated strikes occurred in Rey, a city south of the capital.

Ashura University was established in 2004 by merging the Ayatollah Kashani Training Center with missile defense and aviation science and arts colleges.

The university specializes in training pilots, air traffic control, air services, missile operations, and air defense activities. It also offers programs in electrical engineering, electronics, and aircraft and missile mechanics.

Other reports suggested that Shiraz Airport may have also been targeted, although official sources have yet to provide detailed information regarding the extent of damage or any casualties.
