Five people died in three separate Russian attacks in Ukraine's Kherson region, including strikes on a city neighborhood, a fuel station, and a village.

The governor of Kherson region reported that Russian attacks resulted in five fatalities across three separate incidents in the southern Ukrainian area on Friday.
Oleksandr Prokudin stated on the Telegram app that an airstrike on a neighborhood in the main city of Kherson killed three elderly individuals in their seventies and eighties, whose bodies were found in damaged homes.
Prokudin also indicated that an attack on a fuel station north of the city caused one death and injured seven others. Additionally, a drone strike in the evening led to the death of a man in a village located north of Kherson.
Kherson is among four regions annexed by Russia six months after the war in Ukraine began in 2022.
Russian forces initially took control of most of the region early in the conflict, but Ukrainian troops have since reclaimed parts of the territory, including the city of Kherson. Areas under Ukrainian control continue to face frequent Russian attacks.
Across the border in Russia's Belgorod region, which Ukraine frequently targets, officials reported that a Ukrainian drone struck a vehicle near the border, killing the driver.
