U.S. Southern Command Kills 4 in Caribbean Drug-Running Vessel Strike

The U.S. Southern Command confirmed it carried out a military strike on September 19 targeting a fast boat navigating established drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean region.

According to the command, intelligence assessments verified the vessel’s direct involvement in narcotics smuggling operations. The operation resulted in the deaths of four individuals, whom U.S. forces described as “drug-related terrorists.”

Earlier September Strike Killed Three

Earlier this month, U.S. Southern Command reported conducting another strike against a vessel engaged in drug trafficking pathways in the Caribbean Sea, which killed three people.

September 9 Operation Detailed on X

In a post published on the platform X, U.S. Southern Command stated: “On 9 September, under U.S. Southern Command oversight, the Joint Task Force–South executed a lethal kinetic strike targeting a fast boat operating along known drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean Sea.”

The statement added: “Intelligence confirmed the vessel’s active participation in drug trafficking operations, and the operation resulted in the deaths of three drug traffickers linked to terrorist activities.”

The command accompanied its X post with a video it said documented the U.S. military’s strike against the fast boat.
