Yemeni Armed Forces Announce 'Breaking a Houthi Attack' Toward Wadi al-Maqatira

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday the securing of Wadi al-Maqatira in the Hayfan front, and the vital road connecting Aden, Lahj, and Taiz, for movement of citizens and travelers, following the "frustration of failed infiltration attempts by Houthi militias in the area."

In a statement, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Major Majid al-Nazili, said the forces "repelled the terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime after synchronized infiltration attempts toward Wadi al-Maqatira within the Hayfan front, aiming to reach positions near the vital road linking Aden, Lahj, and Taiz, threatening the movement of citizens and travelers."

Al-Nazili clarified that "the Yemeni Armed Forces, represented by units from the Taiz axis, the Tawr al-Baha axis, and units from the Al-Awalem brigades, with support from the Popular Resistance, confronted the attacking elements, engaged in clashes that thwarted infiltration attempts and forced them to retreat, inflicting heavy casualties and losses in equipment; meanwhile, the forces continued securing the area and the road for the movement of citizens and travelers."

He emphasized that "the Yemeni Armed Forces stationed at the fronts have regained the initiative, are highly prepared, and continue confronting attacks and infiltration attempts, and will not allow the terrorist militia to breach or threaten the security of citizens or vital roads."

Al-Nazili warned that "repeatedly deploying militia elements in failed attacks and infiltration attempts will not alter the ground reality but will only impose further losses on them, in battles fought to serve the agenda of the Iranian regime and the Revolutionary Guards at the expense of Yemeni blood, security, and stability."
