Interest in PSG's promising 18-year-old Pierre Mounguengue has emerged from Bayern Munich, who are tracking the young centre-forward as they explore fresh talent options. Mounguengue, who debuted in Ligue 1 this May, is currently negotiating a professional contract with PSG despite interest from other French clubs.

Reports indicate that Bayern's pursuit of Mounguengue faces competition from Paris FC, but the player appears inclined to remain with PSG. Having joined PSG’s youth academy in 2021, Mounguengue’s single senior appearance came as a late substitute in a 2-2 draw against Lorient.

Alexander Nübel’s Future and Transfer Prospects

Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel’s future at Bayern remains uncertain as his loan with VfB Stuttgart concludes. Despite a contract extending to 2030, Bayern has made it clear that Nübel will not be part of their long-term plans. The club is reportedly willing to accept a transfer fee between €10 million and €15 million, which is significantly lower than earlier estimates.

Nübel, who joined Bayern from Schalke 04 in 2020, has seen limited playing time with only four competitive appearances. After loan spells at AS Monaco and Stuttgart, where he performed well, the high salary demands have hindered a permanent transfer. Bayern subsidized much of his wages during his loan at Stuttgart, which cannot afford to keep him permanently.

In a notable upcoming match, Nübel will likely face Bayern as an opponent in the DFB-Pokal final, marking what could be his last game for Stuttgart.

Local Rivalry and Club Developments

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer responded to provocations from local rivals 1860 Munich during recent title celebrations. Fans of 1860 displayed a banner mocking Bayern, which drew a lighthearted retort from Hainer, who suggested that 1860 may soon have their own championship to celebrate.

Meanwhile, Bayern is preparing for the departure of defensive prospect Grayson Dettoni. The 20-year-old centre-back, on loan at Darmstadt 98 since January, is expected to join the club permanently after Darmstadt exercises their purchase option. Dettoni, who joined Bayern’s youth ranks in 2017 from 1860 Munich, has yet to break into Bayern’s senior squad.
