Houthi Militia Declares Complete Navigation Ban on Israeli Ships in Red Sea
The Houthi militia announced a full maritime navigation ban on Israeli vessels in the Red Sea, threatening military action against any Israeli movements in the waterway.

The Houthi militia declared on Monday the imposition of a "complete maritime navigation ban" on Israeli ships in the Red Sea. The group stated it would treat any Israeli-related activity in the waterway as military targets.
Yahya Saree, the militia's military spokesperson, asserted that their forces would respond to escalation with escalation. He added that upcoming military operations would intensify in line with field developments and in coordination with the "axis of resistance," as he described it.
In addition, the Houthi spokesperson announced the launch of a salvo of rockets toward what he described as "sensitive" targets in the Jaffa area, claiming that the rockets hit their intended objectives.
This announcement occurred amid rising regional tensions and expanding confrontations in the area. No immediate official Israeli response was issued regarding the rocket launch claims or the navigation ban declaration.
On the same day, Israeli media revealed the targets struck by the Israeli Air Force in its initial wave of attacks on Iran, which reportedly included around 20 targets.
According to Channel 12, a prominent target was the petrochemical complex in the southwestern Iranian city of Mahshahr, which the Israeli military confirmed was hit during the strikes.
This military operation was a direct response to ballistic missile attacks launched by Iran toward Israel on Sunday night.
